Room. Walls are of brocaded French velvet, with hanging Belgian

Anglo-Japanese style. Crystal bedecked Gaslight Chandeliers
provide illumination to the elaborate formal Victorian table
setting. The view over-looks the Victorian Flower Garden and
Croquet Field. Quality CDs provide a soft background of light
Classical Music. Breakfast is joined by the Inn's
InnKeepers to provide a joyous reconteur celebration of the new

One of three parlors, the "Turkish Sitting Room"
screens evening movies from a collection of our 700 films from
the 1898-1945 period. Alternatively, old radio shows of the
1930-1945 period can be heard from the Inn's large collection.
Gramophones, old and new, play popular music from the
1890-1935 period. |

The Governor's Room - Named after California's famous
Leland Stanford, it was however, as the President of the
Central Pacific Railroad that "Governor" Stanford came to
Eureka. Staying in this room, he and William S. Clark (the
mansion's owner, and later Eureka Mayor) explored the
possibility of building a railroad from San Francisco to
Eureka. Views of the city, Humboldt Bay, Somoa Peninsula,
and in the distance, the Pacific Ocean.

The Governor's Room - The room's Country-French
furnishings add a bright and cheery feeling to the room's
warm, elegant character. Another fine view of the City, Bay
and Peninsula can be seen from here. A small connecting room
can be used to sleep a third person, at extra charge. The
Governor's Room has a private bath (shower stall - no tub).
Rates range from $165 (early Check-Out), to $195 (includes
breakfast). Rate for third person in adjoining room
is $65.

The Lillie Langtry Room - Although sharing the same
first name, this room is not named after your hostess.
Celebrated beauty and theatrical giant of European and
American stage from 1880 to 1910, the "Jersey Lily" stayed in
this room while playing at Eureka's famous Ingomar Theatre. Views of the city, Humboldt Bay, Somoa Peninsula, and in the distance, the Pacific Ocean.

The Lillie Langtry Room - Light and airy, the bedroom
is highlighted by a beautiful dark oak four-poster bed. A
wonderful view of Humboldt Bay can be seen from the room's
classical Paladian window. This room has access to 3 bathrooms
and a Sauna (Sharing with Van Gogh room). Bathrobes are
provided for the short trip down the hall. Rates range from $125
(early Check-Out), to $155 (includes breakfast).

The Van Gogh Room - A small suite with separate sitting
area, the famous Flemish Painter's works dominate this
charming room. The room's Belgian bedroom set belonged to the
innkeeper's mother. A good view of the city and the
distant mountains can be seen from this room. Click

The Van Gogh Room - This room has
access to 3 bathrooms and a Sauna (sharing with Langtry Room).
One of the three bathrooms is a large Victorian style room with
large Claw-Foot bathtub & shower, pedestal sink and high-tank
pull-chain toilet. Bathrobes are provided for the short trip
down the hall. Rates range from $125 (early Check-Out), to $155
(includes breakfast).

The Senator's Room - This room has a queen-sized French
Rococo solid brass bed, marble topped antique bedroom
furniture from Belgium, and Victorian wall coverings. It is a
small room over-looking our colorful Victorian flower gardens
and croquet field.

room has a very large detached private bath, with large
claw-foot tub & shower, pedestal sink, and a high-tank
pull-chain toilet. Bathrobes are provided for the short trip
down the hall. The view from the Senator's Room provides an inviting
preview of Inn's grounds and colorful flower gardens. Sounds
of bird-song fill the day, as well as the gardens.

Besides the Victorian flower garden, the Senator's Room
over-looks the sweeping lawn of the Inn's Croquet field,
surrounded by varieties of pre-1914 flowers and ornamental
