Looking for Giant Redwood trees and rugged California coastlines, while enjoying opulence and grandeur in your lodging? Well, travel to Eureka, a Northern California Victorian Seaport, and the next northward stop after Mendocino, Ft. Bragg, and the Mendocino Coast. As Capitol of the fabled Redwood Empire, Eureka sits on Humboldt Bay, mid-way between Ferndale and Arcata, California, five hours north of San Francisco. Located in the heart of California's rugged North Coast and giant Redwood forests, here, a magic blend of spectacular natural beauty, colorful history, Victorian architectural wonders, and the roar of the Pacific Ocean all come together. And too, here is located California's most impressive and authentic "Living-History House-Museum" of the Victorian experience - an 1888 National Historic Landmark - Abigail's "Elegant Victorian Mansion," a Northern California lodging experience. Sharing some of its luxurious bedrooms, it has also become, for a fortunate few, Eureka's most popular and prestigious lodging accommodation.
Economic Stimulus Rates — $115 to $145 Reflecting the financial meltdown of the American economic system, we have adjusted our room rates downward by $40, to match the financial wreckage of our nation's collapsed economy. While still offering the highest quality in a lodging experience, our rates are now the lowest in the boutique lodging industry. By absorbing more of our costs, and, more importantly, by omitting our breakfasts, we are now able to offer the discriminate traveler affordable room-rates, without sacrificing any of the quality of this unique lodging experience. You may use either a VISA or a MasterCard to book your room reservation. Interactive Living-History For those guests who would like to add "spice" to their lives, the Inn often-times has its 1928 Ford Model A available for a ride in its "Rumble-Seat", with an adventurous driving tour of historic Eureka. If interested in this ride, be sure to ask about it when making your reservation and again during your Check-In. This antique car ride lasts approximately a half hour; there is a $25 extra charge for this fun-filled nostalgic ride through yester-year. It's all part of the Inn's inter-active, living-history experience. When was the last time you rode in a "Rumble-Seat"? This ride is FREE when staying two or more nights. For traveler's looking for redwood trees, Humboldt Redwoods State Park, about 30 miles south of Eureka, has a 40 mile stretch of these ancient monuments of the prehistoric past. A half hour's drive north of Eureka begins the 300,000 acre Redwood National Park, with miles and miles of hiking trails, beaches, wildlife, and other natural wonders of these ancient monuments of the prehistoric past.
